There’s no doubt that there will be another economic downturn. The only genuine concern is when.
Ever since the housing bubble exploded in 2008/2009, one economic guru after another has been forecasting an economic crash. The immense federal debt, which just seems to keep growing more and more, has been one of the major driving forces behind their forecasts.
What makes it even scarier is how, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has expended money. It has been said that throwing money at it is the only way that Congress knows to deal with a crisis.
They have certainly shown that they approve more than 3.4 trillion dollars in “relief” spending with their response to the pandemic. Of course, for pork projects as well, the number requires a reasonable amount of money.
The frightening thing is that by borrowing money from the Federal Reserve, which is supposedly an autonomous entity, the government “paid” for this, but is simply marching along with the government.
They generated money from thin air by supposedly paying in this way. I’m just curious how many things are going to be paid for the same way after learning how convenient it is to do so.
All the way until the economy fails under the weight of all that debt. It is not a question of “if that happens,” it is a question of “when.”

It is difficult to predict how the government will react to an economic crisis, and when it arises, a lot will depend on who is in power. But there are a couple of things we should take for granted:
- The government, even at the expense of the people, will work to defend itself. This is achieved for all governments.
- Cries are going to be made for government assistance. They would become politicized, as we saw during the COVID pandemic, with both sides seeking to add a lot of other stuff to the relief bills, making it impossible to pass them.
- It is predicted that FEMA will rush to the assistance of everyone. The only way they will be able to do that is to take the resources required from others, because they are short of resources and out of capital.
- To raise their power over all our lives, the government will use the situation.
In a time of financial crisis, FEMA is a total threat to the American people. Of all government departments, during a time of crisis, they are the one with the power to deal with people. The dilemma for you and I is that their power is so immense in times of crisis that it would be worse than living in a police state if they were to use it all.
During such a time, there are a few unique things that FEMA can do, each of which involves distinct foiling strategies.
Confiscating Supplies
The power of FEMA to confiscate materials for redistribution is infamous. Even though they haven’t used it yet, their threat is very real.
This authority was originally granted so that FEMA could seize food from suppliers, distribution centers and shops. But there’s just enough wiggle room in the way laws and regulations are written, as with everything else the government does, that they can be reinterpreted to allow FEMA to take food from everyone who has it.
That means they could come and raid some of our stockpiles imaginably.
Of course, the solution to this issue is to make sure that nobody knows what we’ve got. In other words, successful operational safety (OPSEC) execution of our plans and preparations. But it will take a little more than that.
If you and I are both sweet and plump while everyone around us loses weight, they’re going to put us under suspicion. Someone’s going to hear, tell somebody else, and finally it’s going to get to somebody in FEMA’s ears, who’s definitely going to come knocking on our doors.
One strategy to keeping our relative wealth hidden is to ensure that, like anyone else, we are losing weight. That means eating a diet for survival, not eating all we want. It won’t seem like we’ve got a lot of extra food lying around as long as we’re losing weight like everyone else.
At the same time, accept whatever government handouts are passed around. If someone receives FEMA food and you don’t, it may raise suspicion. In reality, trying to figure out a way to go with your neighbors will help to make things a bit clear, so that they see you getting help.
Lastly, make sure you don’t have anything stored in your house. Anything will go wrong no matter how diligent you are, and anyone will find out you’re not in as bad a shape as anyone else.
You don’t want them to get anything if that results in a FEMA raid on your house. In remote areas, a stockpile or two of food will help ensure you’re still going to have something.

Relocating People
The ability to relocate people at will is one of the scariest powers that FEMA has. The problem is that there are no limitations to that control, which is intended to give them the ability to help people escape from danger zones.
They don’t need permission from people to relocate them. They should do it, regardless of the willingness of people, under their own authority.
If FEMA launches relocation drives, it will most likely begin to look benevolent. They’re not going to start by raiding neighborhoods, clearing residents out, and piling people into vehicles.
It will begin with them searching for volunteers willing to relocate. The techniques of the strong-arm will not come until later.
Nonetheless, those early acts will give us notice of what is to come. Knowing that will encourage us to either get out of Dodge and go somewhere where people are not relocated by FEMA, or figure out a plan to hide when they come looking for us.
They will not clear out people from anywhere at once, but it should be easy to decide what places are safe to move into by following their pattern, while clearing our neighborhoods. After they have gone, we can then work our way back home.
Implementing Martial Law
Any attempt to impose domestic martial law would undoubtedly be an inter-agency effort.
There’s no way FEMA has the manpower to do it alone. Nevertheless, when the time comes, we can count on them being right there at the forefront, organizing efforts.
Supposedly, when the government does not do its job, martial law can only be enforced to protect the citizenry from the government.
But the concept of martial law seems to have shifted somewhere along the way, from defending the people to protecting the government from the citizens. That’s what we would expect them to concentrate on if martial law is ever imposed by FEMA.

We’ll need to keep a low profile if anything happens. It’s hard to predict how far FEMA would go in enforcing martial law, but one of the first things they’ll definitely do is start searching for and rounding up dissidents.
If at the time there is a Democrat in the White House, it is pronounced “dissident”: C O N S E R V A T I V E, G U N O W N E R, and a host of other words that can be attributed to you and I. It’s not going to mean ANTIFA or any of the other groups of leftists that love to protest and inflict damage.
Maintaining a low profile is the only solution to this.
Don’t be the one against the government speaking out. Do not complain about what is happening.
Be as much of a grey man as possible, so that you do not draw attention to yourself.
We should expect FEMA, along with martial law, to start confiscating weapons. Those on the political left will use whatever justification they can to take away our weapons, and a convenient excuse will be provided to them by the rising crime that goes with a financial crisis.
They will respond in the same way that New Orleans’ Democratic mayor did during Hurricane Katrina, using the opportunity to get weapons out of the hands of people.

You do not want to put yourself in the role of fighting back, regardless of how they go about confiscating weapons. Yeah, I know that there’s a lot of people out there saying “Over my dead body,” but if you fight back, that’s exactly what it’s going to be.
If you are prepared to die to make a political point, which is likely to be misreported by the media, then it is a losing cause to take a stance against armed officers. And if you win in the first round, you’re not going to win in the second round.
This is not to suggest there is no time for war. That’s just to say that you don’t want to be alone in a fighting place. Instead, if you are firmly against the government taking away weapons from individuals, get together with a group of others and take a stance in a more concrete way.
In the meantime, make sure you have weapons that are well hidden, so that they can not discover them if federal agents search your house. Enable them to find some items, but not everything.
That way, they will go away feeling like something they have achieved, cleaning you out. But you will still be armed and willing, if that becomes necessary, to protect yourself or join the resistance.
You will have to determine whether it is a smart idea or not to store weapons in your off-site food caches, but you will certainly want to store some ammunition there. Make sure that you’re going to hide it for the calibre of firearms, so that you have enough to deal with, should that time come.
